I have just received notification from Irish Water that County Wicklow will be next in line to have water meters installed, with contractors planning to begin in Bray over the coming weeks.
Before Irish Water install outside your premises, you will receive an information pack from them at least 2 weeks in advance.
Meters will be installed outside residences connected the public water mains generally between 7:30am and 7:30pm, Monday to Friday and between 8am and 1pm on Saturdays. Each meter installation will take from 15 minutes to two hours, depending on the work to be carried out. Meters will be placed in a meter box, fitted underground in the public footpath outside the homeowner’s property.
Please stay safe during this time! Irish Water meter installers will always carry Irish Water identification cards, wear branded uniforms and will never ask to enter people’s homes.
