Do you work with a voluntary or community group in Kilcoole, Newcastle, Delgany or Greystones? Do you want a voice in Wicklow County Council?
The County Wicklow Public Participation Network is a new representative body that will allow community and voluntary groups to connect directly with Wicklow County Council. It will elect community group representatives to sit on the county council’s policy committees.
There will be a PPN for the Greystones Municipal District, covering Newcastle, Kilcoole, Delgany and Greystones and it’s currently looking for members. If you would like your organisation to have greater input into the decision making in the county, you need to register your organisation’s interest and become a member group of the PPN.
I have invited Helen Howes, County Wicklow PPN, to give a presentation on the PPNs, including what benefits there might be for your organisation (including cheaper insurance for your organisation) and how you can get involved.
If you would like to come along, please contact me on [email protected] or phone me 0866634747 as I will need to have an idea of numbers that may attend.
