Need help getting a job? Join the Jobs Club!

16th March 2015

Would you like help in getting a new job? Has it been a while since you had to write a CV or done an interview?

I am working with the National Learning Network to bring a free Jobs Club to Kilcoole.  The club will help people from the area to brush up on their job seeking skills and will cover CV preparation, job search and interview techniques.  It will be a huge help to those that may be currently looking for work, or those that may like to change jobs.

The Jobs Club will begin on the 25th March in the Kilcoole Community Centre and will run for six weeks (1.5 hours per week) from 11am – 12.30. It is being provided free-of-charge and is open to everyone from the area (Kilcoole/Delgany/Greystones/Newcastle). Places are limited so you’ll need to book (see details at end).

What’s involved?

Week 1: Introduction, CV preparation, sourcing job vacnacies.

Week 2: Covers letters, What is the employer looking for?

Week 3: Business emails, Job seeking strategies

Week 4: Completing application forms, interview skills

Week 5: Apply for a job, Interview skills

Week 6: Mock interview and feedback
